All - My S3 got wet (they actually aren't supposed to be put most or under water (though I accept heard some do ok only mine didn't)) and it went into a abiding bootloop. Waited a while and it was still rebooting constantly. (waited fifty-fifty weeks!)

I am pretty sure h2o got underneath the connections for the ii buttons or peradventure on the connector itself which made it short which sent a signal that both buttons were existence pressed which is how yous would get it to reboot.

Fix - I purchased the triangular screwdriver needed to open up the case off of Ebay. I opened the case and took it autonomously and let information technology air out. I likewise put some rubbing alcohol on the push connectors in hopes of getting as much of the h2o gone as possible. Meet YouTube for instructions. Pretty easy to do.

Good news is that the scout works again. No more than bootloop.

I too decided to buy the push button ribbon role from Samsung parts: Samsung Gear S3 frontier (SM-R760) Volume flex cable GH59-14696A. I might supervene upon it.

Moral of the story is continue the S3 away from h2o!

It works fine. The buttons are back to normal.

The only consequence I have is that when I rotate the bezel, the sensors aren't working. Not sure where the problem is located. I started a unlike thread in hopes of someone having an thought only nil nonetheless.

xc% working which I can alive with just fine.

Open it upwards (advisedly) and permit it air dry. I used some rubbing alcohol on the buttons. Air and fourth dimension are probably the most important part of the endeavor.

I as well ordered a part (GH59-14697A) in example the buttons become bad. ($nine) I might change the button sensor some twenty-four hours.

Good luck!

Open it upwards (carefully) and allow information technology air dry out. I used some rubbing booze on the buttons. Air and time are probably the well-nigh important part of the endeavor.

I also ordered a part (GH59-14697A) in instance the buttons go bad. ($9) I might change the button sensor some day.

Proficient luck!

Got my tool kit in today, no luck reviving my watch. I had it in rice for the last two days and I noticed it asunder from my phone pretty rapidly. I assumed that meant the battery died. Today after opening it upwards and doing an inspection I put it back together and now it won't charge. Flashing scarlet light on the charger.

Sorry to hear that. Give it more than fourth dimension to air out. I put mine in in-direct sunlight and rotated the parts to make sure all the parts were fully dried.

Maybe the charging coil is still a trivial wet. It is on the bottom of the lower instance.

I would suggest giving it some time...

The only issue I have now is the battery drain is extremely high. Took it off the charger yesterday morn at 4 and was at x% at 5 yesterday afternoon.

Yous could replace the battery. It isn't hard.

Perhaps a firmware update will help.

Now after the sentinel sabbatum a day off the charger it won't come up on and the charger just blinks carmine. No matter what I do it just blinks crimson afterward a few minutes
